Purpose

As a member of the Planning Commission, you would be responsible for the township master plan, zoning ordinance, infrastructure, land division, subdivision reviews and capital improvement planning. Recent accomplishments of the Planning Commission include an DNR approved Recreation Plan as well as an updated Marijuana Ordinance.

Eligibility: To serve on the Planning Commission, you must be a qualified elector of the township (One member may be an individual who is not a qualified elector. Planning Commission members are appointed by the township board for three year terms. Members shall be representative of population distribution and of the various interests present in the township
